Melody Campbell and Sherry Campbell Bunyer have lived in Galena all their lives and have collected antiques for many years. Inspired by their mother and grandmother, who loved antiques, Melody and Sherry use their keen eyes and vast knowledgeto fill their homes with unique pieces.
One of their most unusual finds is a Father Christmas candy container circa 1910. The figure is clothed in an orange felt suit and separates at the waist. His detailed features, fine condition, and large size make him a special piece of history. He now holds a place of prominence in the Campbell family Christmas Eve celebrations. Melody and Sherry invite you to share the old-world charm of their antique Christmas collectibles, which include German-made candy containers, Belsnickels, hand-blown ornaments and children's books and toys. Share the stories & history as you step back in time to experience the beauty and joy of a Victorian Christmas morning.
So Deck The Halls at the 2nd Annual Festival of Trees Friday November 2 from 5pm to 8pm at the DeSoto House Hotel. It's just in time for the holidays, up to 30 beautifully themed tabletop Christmas trees and wreaths will be on display. Bid on your favorite in our silent auction. Refreshments served.
